Well, we all know denim skinnies aren’t the most expected choice for the summer, however, I would have to agree that some of the best washes and creative ideas are popping up everywhere this season! Anne and Aubrey, two lovely ladies of mine, decided to go shopping with me at Fashion Island in Newport Beach the other night! We scouted out some of our favorite washes, new designs and good people with good style. Here’s what we found:
First, we stopped into Urban Outfitters. We had to sneak our pictures in (most retailers think we’re taking pictures of the product to remake it, but we’re totally not!) Most of the denim we ended up liking was BDG. They had a couple pairs that had pleats down the middle of the leg and another that had cute detailing at the bottom of the leg and the top of the back of the pant. They also had a genuine black pair that every girl needs in her closet!
(P.S. Check out our catwalks down the aisle. I promise the off the shoulder tops are a pure coincidence!)
Next we were off and running to American Rag Cie, the ever so rad store that’s always ever so out of my budget! But, a girl can window shop! We turned our attention to the first table. It was full of the upcoming brand, Bess. They put studs on most of their pockets and have really awesome bleached washes (by the way, you can never have too many studs in my opinion). We also ran into the famous J Brand denim that you’ve been seeing on all of the stars lately. This store is truly the go-to-place if you feel like splurging on a pair of denim that’s on point for the current trends!
Last, but def not least, we cruised over to PacSun. Mind you, all these stores are in a 20 ft. radius, we know what we like! We looked through all of their skinnies. They had every kind of skinny jean you could possibly imagine. The new Solana fit is amazing if you’re looking for the skinniest of the skinnies! If you’re like me and have a foot too big to fit through the tiny ankle, try the Hermosa Skinnies, they’re just as cute! We picked out our sizes and made one of the brand reps take pictures for us! I think he enjoyed it a little too much! We finalized our purchase with new tie dye tank tops, no joke they come in every color under the sun; practically enough for the rest of the summer! This marked the end of our hunt for denim, as you can see we feel accomplished!
