Here we go…

About five months ago I decided I wanted to purchase a new pair of jeans and decided on a pair of raw selvage denim. The great part about raw denim is that they start out as a very clean and sophisticated pair of jeans and the more you wear and wash them the more distressed they become. The jeans came with a care guide but after a little research I found the best method for achieving my very own distressed look is to wear them for as long as possible without washing them. After about four months into my denim experiment and wearing my new jeans almost everyday, my girlfriend noticed a particularly funky stench coming from down under. It didn’t take her long to realize where the smell was coming from but I refused to believe I was going to have to give in and wash my jeans eight months shy of my goal, so I continued to argue with her and deny it. After swallowing my pride I decide to take a whiff and sure enough, FROMUNDA CHEESE. Luckily I remembered a trick that quickly solved the problem; simply putting them in a plastic bag and throwing them in the freezer for a few days. Trust me, Fabreez doesn’t do the trick. With six months to go I’m still on my way to having my very own custom pair of distressed worn jeans that are sure to be popular for the fall.
