As much as we all love our jeans and want to make sure they remain stain free and sparkly, there is such thing as too much love. Remember, denim is cotton and cotton shrinks. Most people are familiar with the initial ‘fresh‐out‐the‐dryer’ struggle, but if you have issues getting your big toe through the pant leg, you may want to rethink your care‐for instructions.

Avoid putting your jeans in the dryer on high heat for a long period of time.

Hang them up or dry them on cool.

Even better (and this might alarm some people), but let ‘em ride for a month before you give them another wash. Just a suggestion.

Pass on previously ruined jeans to junior or your hamster. Hamsters are forever baby-sized.
